Nominator's project description

Professor Brigham-Grette is a leading international paleoclimatologist. She has made substantial contributions to our current understanding of the Earth´s climatic history, in particular in the Arctic. She is a key player in developing international geosciences, for instance as heads of the Past Global Changes (PAGES) project and the US Polar Research Board. During her stay in Germany, she focuses on the publication of results recently obtained in northeastern Russia and on the development of new research projects jointly with several German collaborators.
